Changing market realities and a reorganisation of the company’s operation resulted to Giov. Muscat taking a bold decision to focus on distribution and divest of the retail shop

in Merchants’ Street, Valletta in 2015. A new wholesale and distribution outlet has been opened at 48, Triq Anton Cassar, Marsa in 2017.

A partnership between Giov. Muscat and Time International was entered into for the Valletta retail outlet to be used for sale of clothing and footwear. Whilst retaining all its original aesthetic features including the Giov. Muscat name, the outlet was adapted to house the Timberland Franchise.This arrangement ended on the 30th of November, 2020. Plans for the next stage and new developments for the outlet are underway.

The family run business is now in its fifth generation. A forward looking path is towards  consolidating and diversifying its business making use of a healthy asset base which the company owns.
